Our role
Our clients turn to Melkart at three points in the investment cycle.
Pre-deal. When the thesis depends on a consumer read that the CDD alone cannot resolve: brand defensibility, loyalty, willingness to pay, perception versus alternatives.
During the deal. As a targeted input to investment committees, stress-testing critical hypotheses, or selective validation of business plan assumptions.
Post-deal and value creation plan. Supporting the fund team and management in decisions where consumer response defines the upside: launches, repositionings, expansion, brand integration.
Working model
Each engagement is sized to the moment in the process and the real weight of the decision it supports. We produce analysis that delivers a clear, actionable diagnosis.
We work confidentially, integrated with the fund team and, where relevant, with the deal's advisors. Scope, timeline, and cost are agreed before work begins and remain under control throughout the engagement.
The team that signs the proposal is the team that signs the deliverable. We do not interpose unnecessary layers between the client and the analysis.
Deliverable
Every engagement concludes with an executive document oriented to the decision, a discussion session with the fund team, and — where required — supporting materials for committees or boards.
The quality of our work is measured by the usefulness of the conclusion, not the thickness of the document.
Confidentiality
We do not publish case studies. Credentials and references are shared under NDA at the appropriate point in the process.
